Mod Notes

This is a modification of the stock 1941 Campaign scenario and adds an immensely powerful SS Panzer Army and associated air assets.

I thought it would be fun to try to create what he wanted. I created it to provide VonWulfen with the scenario he desired but also for some selfish reasons as I wanted to play around with and learn the new WITE 2 editor having dabbled quite a bit with the WITW editor. Therefore VonWulfen's request gave me a good reason to dip my toe into WITE 2 modding.

I haven't created new TOE(OB) for units but used existing units then copied and renamed them and changed to them to SS-Elite.

I tried creating fictitious leaders (namely VonWulfen) but they disappeared when reloading so I have assigned real life generals to the formations.

Only equipment which historically existed in 1941 is part of the TOE of the units so don't expect panthers, tigers, Me-262s or wunderwaffe.

Upon starting the scenario you will receive your orders concerning the employment of the 1st SS Panzer Okkultistisch Group.

Sidebar: VonWulfen wanted the formation to be called this for his role playing. I would have gone with 1st SS Panzer Occult Group or even better just 1st SS Panzer Group.

I have not playtested the mod other than running the first turn. There almost certainly will be mistakes and things I've overlooked.

For instance the corps are subordinated to the 1st SS Panzer Okkultistisch Group HQ as you can see if you check the COM Report but for some reason don't show up in that unit's detail screen. I've no idea why.



This modification is obviously in no way historical and purely for fun. The entire SS Panzer Okkultistisch Group is motorised so the player might have a hell of a time keeping them supplied in the vastness of the Russian steppe.

This is an alternate version of my 1941 Campaign Von Wulfen mod which renames the 1st SS Panzer Okkultistisch Group to 1st SS Panzer Army, the SS Okkultistisch Fliegerkorps to SS Fliegerkorps and also replaces the 3 flieger divisions with 3 SS panzer and 1 SS motorised divisions.

I have also renamed all the divisions in the SS Panzer Army after major German cities with the highest population. As Berlin should probably have 2 divisions named after it one is called Pankow after the largest borough of Berlin.

The event that fires concerning the "religious" mission of the panzer army has been disabled in this version of the mod.

This mod was made with the 1.00.07 version of WITE 2.

In turn 2 all the 4 HQ of the Group are deleted from the map, leaving only the units and SU at OKH.

The SS Army on version 1.00.07 has all HQ with only 1 movement point on turn 2.
Could it be a problem with the HQ counter?

The 1st SS Pz Army uses the TOE(OB)#2800 and the three SS Pz Corps (LV, LXVI, LXIX) use the TOE(OB)#2802. Both TOE(OB)s appear to be empty slots.

I guess that these TOE(OB) maybe customer-made TOE not available in the generic TOE data. I would suggest to change the TOE(OB) for the HQs to the generic ones, or to include the modified generic data as part of the mod.
