I suggest you check how your soundcards and CD/RWs are doing. My specs are almost the same as yours but I have no trouble whatsoever, except that the CD/RW is extremely slow to spin up in game.... A WAG on my part. :) What I wanted to say is that the graphics cards and drivers should not be the problem.
