I've noticed that some units have invisible equipment pieces, both in the latest release version and the latest beta.

That's 1st Panzer Division in May 1942.

Could you attach some saves (ideally go back to before these blanks showed up and post the last save without them and then the next one with them. It's an indication that something has gone wrong. Thanks.

It's been a problem for many turns now - https://www.file.io/download/xmrvGwwgEy2P

I tried to download the file(s) but it said it had been deleted. You can attach a zip file directly to your message.

There you go:

Those are Pz IIc tanks that have lost their name. All the other data for the element looks ok so it may not hurt the game. Do you have saves going back in time? Can you look back on the production screen in the saves until you see the Recon Tank Pz IIc appears ok, and then when it first has no name in the production screen? If you can find those saves, please post the before and after saves. Thanks.

I have same issue with all my Soviet units. Blank line at bottom of TOW. On the unit card, at the bottom of the elements, it lists 82MM M41 Mortar. When I bring up the unit TOE, it is blank but says the unit (41c rifle XX) should have 72 of them (it has none). If I look at the Commanders report for the unit, it says it is at 91% TOE even though it has 100% of all elements other than the blank line item (mortars). I'd paste a picture but not sure how.

It would help a lot if someone can look back through saves and see when this first happened in a particular unit, and then send us the saves before and after the element lost its name. For that reason we suggest everyone have autosaves turned on when playing against the AI or PBEM so this kind of investigation can be done.

Started between turn four and five. For some reason the mortars move from the middle of the list to the bottom. Open any Soviet rifle XX to see issue.
I tried to upload zip of files. Hopefully it worked.

I see the problem in your turn 5 save, and it's not in turn 4. Unfortunately just ending your turn 4 doesn't cause the problem to repeat (in v.07 or a later version). Something clearly went wrong in your games, but it's hard to diagnose this. Do you happen to have a save from later on in your Soviet turn 4?

If you can, it would help if you would do the following which will create automatic saves at the end of each player turn. If we have an end of turn save, we can pin the bug down to which player turn the bug happened in, and have a better chance of replicating the bug.

Making a Shortcut for Prelog Saves
While testing, we suggest you create a shortcut for the exe that will cause the game to automatically save games before each logistics phase. These can be very important when we’re tracking down bugs. If the installer already created a shortcut, you can skip items 1 and 2 below, although you’ll have to find where the shortcut is being stored so you can click on it.

1. Select the file WarintheEast2.exe file - right click and Create shortcut. It will appear in the folder.
2. Move shortcut to Desktop
3. On desktop right click your new shortcut and select Properties
4. Copy and paste this text into the target box: "C:\Matrix Games\Gary Grigsby's War in the East 2\WarInTheEast2.exe" -preLogSave
Make sure you use this text as sometimes you can type the wrong hyphens
5. Click Apply
