Nix77 -> Combat/Supply Alerts (4/21/2021 7:11:47 AM)

If I'm not mistaken, Combat/Supply Alerts are only selected and visible from the Turn Summary?

Problem is that the turn summary prevents any unit interaction because the unit window is hidden. It would be very useful to have these alert highlights accessible somewhere else also, or somehow be able to see the unit window when viewing turn summary.

EXTENDED FEATURE:
Add a highlight feature for Commander's Report! A new tab for unit category, where you could select five to seven different filters (for bright green/green/yellow/orange/red/blue/purple highlight colors), that would highlight units on map according to these filters when the "highlight filter" would be activated on map. You could have a selection of preset filters, supply/strength alerts for example. The unit mode and supply priority filter buttons would be made obsolete since you could have these as a preset filters. Preset filters could be quick-selectable from the button's pop-up menu, like in command quality button.

This would be absolutely fantastic tool:
- Find formations with certain levels of soft factors even more easily on map
- Highlight only units under certain command, or with selected attributes
- Trace the supply system, or locate your vehicle concentrations
- Do whatever you want :)

The highlight tool is by no means a high priority request :D

The supply/strength alert utility extension however would be a nice feature and probably easy to implement since the functionality is basically already there? Maybe add them as a selectable option to the supply priority button, in addition to having them in the turn summary?

Bamilus -> RE: Combat/Supply Alerts (4/21/2021 4:37:57 PM)

Yea I suggested this awhile back, too. Definitely agree. I'm honestly surprised current TOE% isn't a soft factor display option, at a minimum. Seems like such a no brainer thing. I know I can use CR but it's much better to visually see where weaker units to make decisions rather than use CR. The strength/supply unit borders are even, better. I love them but to your point it becomes a lot harder to use when you have to click off the turn summary, click a unit, then click back on turn summary and repeat.
