How do I land troops on Gibraltar? I have tried and tried to figure this out. The English Garrison dissolved after weeks of blocking supply. But getting troops on the island seems to be even more difficult.

There is a landing zone on the East side of it. Land there. If you don't see one then you have a very old version of the game. The current version is 1.00.10
