got 2 events on turn 53, both for Garrison Shortage and Excess in Western Europe

here's the save from previous turn

loki100 -> RE: Duplicate opposite Event (4/24/2021 10:00:04 PM)

possible - it checks separately for if you meet the ground and air garrisons, so you can lose on one and gain on the other (& all sorts of other variants)

looks a bit ridiculous tho :P

might wanna rephrase the event names to specify if ground or air or whatever

loki100 -> RE: Duplicate opposite Event (4/24/2021 10:20:02 PM)

ah, that is a different point - agree it would be handy to know which garrison level you have met/missed that triggered this outcome. it is shown if the effect is to delay/advance the relevant event chain

Joel Billings -> RE: Duplicate opposite Event (4/26/2021 6:08:18 PM)

The way each of these WE events work is it checks each requirement and if any one fails, the failure event happens. It then also checks each requirement, and if one succeeds at registering as over, then the excess garrison event it triggered. To know what is over and what is under, go to the TB and look to see what your garrison levels are. If you are over 100% you have chance to gain, if under 100% you have a chance to lose. The chance to lose is generally greater than the chance to gain.

I can't check because am playing as SU

Anyway, the point is the name of the events, it makes the game look bad to have 2 opposite events trigger at the same time.
And when I say opposite, they are the exact same text with the exact same VP/AP bonus in one, penalty in the other.

Is it too hard to change the text slightly? It just makes it look wrong if you don't know it's WAD, and sloppy if you do know it's WAD.

Maybe leave the title as it is, but include the type in the description

Harain1 -> RE: Duplicate opposite Event (4/26/2021 11:10:17 PM)

As Loki mentioned, it already behaves like that in advancing/delaying event chains, please do the same for these events

Makes it look better and more consistent

That's because those events only check ground or air. This event checks all requirements, and if any one fails, it fails. Then a separate event checks all events, and if one succeeds, it succeeds. So there is no easy way to do what you are asking. There is no way to know what failed/succeeded in any given check.

Harain1 -> RE: Duplicate opposite Event (4/26/2021 11:41:07 PM)

I see, that's not good then

I suppose changing the events to check separately is out of the question?

Sorry to be a pain over such a minor issue...
