in a PBEM game in progress ID 311337 for a reason I don't know the script (DE 102 - 7th Armoured Formed In Egypt) didn't trigger! however we are in March 41 and all conditions were met![&:]

i have taken a look at the script DE 102 and it is type 3 (#TYPE= 3) with a date 16/08 (#DATE= 1940/08/16). but on august 16 i don't think that italy entered the war (i am not 100% sure). so the script may not be triggered later when Italy enters the war. i wonder if (#TYPE= 2) would not be more appropriate (there is no reason to deprive the British of the 7th Armoured if Italy enters the war late). hoping this may help.[:)]

Ah, Italy's late entrance into the war will have been the problem.

That is a problem, because it needs to be a Type=3 to take into account the potential situations when the event fires, so that if Sea Lion is taking place then it will deploy in the UK.

There is actually more than one script in the Decision file for this.

The best I could do would be to delay it a bit.

I must admit I'm surprised at Italy's late entrance, what happened to delay them so much?

It's hard to say, a cautious axis strategy and a capital that is moved to Bordeau. A cautious axis strategy is all the more sensible as it could deprive the UK of the 7th armoured.

There is perhaps a point I have not understood but why not simply remove the condition of Italy's entry into the war.
