I never said that! [X(] But I am a bit worried about some the directions the military is going in. Replace the A-10 with an F-35 - that makes so much sense. The Zums, enough said. No more FFGs but we have littoral combat ships, and the next gen frigates are estimated to be 7500 tons plus, but won't be able to keep up with a CVN....though they will be tasked to do so. As we Ae folks know you really don't want a 28 knot asset tied to a 33-35 knot one if you can avoid it. It sort of says it all when we have just ordered new build F-15s...they at least work!

The F-15 first flew in July of '72-almost 50 years ago. It's obsolete like the rest of the US military.

1961 - not looking to get into a spat with you but IIRC no F-15 has ever been lost in air to air combat. If that is obsolete, I'll take it.
