Bo Rearguard -> Mines, Oilfields and Roads (5/6/2021 11:47:31 PM)

Do any newly added resource hexes like mines and oilfields have to be connected by road or rail to function or do they add their MPPs to a nation's coffers even without them?

They will provide MPPs if not connected, but this will be based on their strength which will of course be quite a bit less if they aren't connected to a decent supply source.

Thanks for the info. I guess that explains why my mines and oil wells out in the boonies are preforming under par so far. [:D]

Are you adding resources to any country in particular?

I'm adding a few mining and oil areas to kind of beef up the Allies so I can then take them on as the Axis. The Allies seem a bit anemic to me.[:D]

So I'm adding the Ndola copper belt in Rhodesia. The Sudbury Basin mine in Canada. The Permian oil basin of western Texas. The Bingham Canyon mine in Utah and Minnesota's famous Iron Range.(where 3M got it's start) Some tin mines in South America. Maybe even the Volga-Urals oilfield in Russia although it was still pretty small in 1939. There was a lot of nickel mining in New Caledonia too. I was thinking Balikpapan in Borneo should have oil too, although that will probably become a prize for the Japanese.

I'm just trying to stick to places that were in operation during or prior to the war.
