Gen. Maczek -> River Assault Anyone?! (7/12/2001 6:46:00 PM)

Just finished one of the most enjoyable (read bloody) games ever! Assigned to defend against a river assault by the Germans (Im playing the Russki's in the WWII Campaign) I completeley slaughtered the poor b******s. I stayed concealed untill the majority were half way across the river in their pontoons, and then let loose with everything I had on the riverbank (2 Company's of Marine Infantry, 30+ HMG, 30+ AT Guns). Within the space of no more than 3 turns I had slaughtered about 1000 German Infantry (that should teach them for violating the motherland ;) )...Amazingly, they kept coming on despite countless 'Morale Broken' messages, and the damn fanatics fought on untill turn 35!

Germany: 834 Crushing Defeat

Lesson Learnt:
Next time STAVKA asks you to pop across a river to get at the Fascist bogeyman...Go on sick leave! :D
