I've seen a couple of questions in the "quick answer thread" and some of them have not been answered. Loki did answer one of the questions but there was a follow-up.

That triggers the resupply routine is moving airgroups to the location. This will happen more easily if the target airfield is in good supply itself (ie close to a depot ideally).

If as the axis in the early turns, you try to redeploy to an advanced airbase, the airbase may well claim the needed supply/resources in the logistics phase, but ... that is competing with your ground units so take that into account

edit: The AI-assist will tend to wait till the wider supply net is in position to avoid this, so will often not move much for the first few turns. As a player, you can make a more nuanced judgement as to what is the best way to manage this trade-off

So anyways thought I'd ask this here.

I assume the "resupply air bases" on this pop-up resupplies some air bases, but by whom, when and how? Does this include Air Support elements or just fuel and bullets?

I searched the PDF for "resupply air bases" and it returns a blank.

I have been wondering the same thing. Ya i couldnt find anything in the manual.

Another thing I'm confused about is the German Air HQ (Luftflotte) counters. I'm not sure why they are in the game and not off map entities like the Fliegerkorps. Where should I position them? When do you move them? Why move them at all? Again, looked through the manual but I can find nothing to indicate why they have counters versus just being treated the same as the Fliegerkorps. 16.2:

The Air Headquarters are used to assign leaders, and set the relative asset and supply priority

in effect needed to hold the leader and also to send out support squads (90 hex range)

The 90 hex range makes sense. I'm guessing that is the only reason to move the counter about
