Christolos -> Port blockade versus port interdiction question (5/10/2021 10:11:43 PM)

This question also applies to WPE.

My question is; what is the difference between blockading a port and using port interdiction in terms of impacting the amount of supplies reaching a particular port?

Is it that blockading a port completely blocks all supplies, whereas port interdiction only prevents a certain amount of supplies by actually attacking transports which can result in lost MMS?

Can blockading a port also result in sinking enemy MMS?

It seems that in WPE, with the exception of Malta and Gibraltar, which can be blockaded according to the scenario notes, that the two terms are used interchangeably, but my understanding is that only Malta and Gibraltar can be blockaded, and all other ports can only be interdicted. Is this so?

A search of the WPE manual with the term "blockade" turns up no results...

Blockade should definitely have results. IIRC 3 vessels can block any port, 1 can block small islands. From my experience at Manila blockade prevents all shipment but requires adjacency. Interdiction can be from further away and attacks MM. I think.
