Numdydar -> Editor question (5/14/2021 7:27:39 PM)

Any way to change a units movement value in the editor?

If the editor cannot change the movement value is there any other way to modify it or is it hard coded?

AlvaroSousa -> RE: Editor question (5/14/2021 8:31:17 PM)

Country -> Select Country -> Unit Stats -> select unit type -> Change operation points.
...doing this from memory...

You can change land units only. Air and Naval are fixed at 2.

AlvaroSousa -> RE: Editor question (5/14/2021 8:32:23 PM)

You can change ranges for fleets and air though.

Fleet move range is in Campaigns settings.
Air range is in the unit itself.

More questions about the editor. I read the rules "Modification and creation of scenarios" but I have these doubts.

1) In the events "flag = 1" identifies an event, and "if_flag = 1" verifies that this event occurred, and I use it as a trigger. It is right?

2) I don't understand the use of the "New Scenario Data" and "New Scenario Data" folders, can you explain it better?

3) Do you have to copy the files from the folders mentioned above, in the folder of the new scenario ?, or only the modified files?

4) All the modified files must be put in the "UserSavedData" folder and then loaded with the game editor from "Data"?

AlvaroSousa -> RE: Editor question (5/18/2021 12:49:07 PM)

#1 yes but technically I have never tested it. I put it in the scripts but have never had a need to use it.
#2 it is the base data for the game. There are so many to set it would take a considerable amount of time to set them manually. At the moment there is a better way to do it.
#3 This is the better way. Load up the 1939 scenario -> Data -> Click all the saves (it will save to the UserSavedData folder) -> Quit -> Editor -> New -> make your map -> Data -> not hit all the load buttons.... I suggest this in case I missed something in the current files in the UserSavedData folder.
#4 yes. Follow #3 above.

The UserSavedData should have all the current data from the last patch but I might have missed a few files or forgot. Thus why load, data, all save buttons, new, data, all load buttons.

Thanks Alvaro!

The "If_Plan = 1" function does not appear in the rules, what is it?

AlvaroSousa -> RE: Editor question (5/18/2021 5:43:26 PM)

Left it out by accident. if_Flag the "f" is capitalized. I'll have to update the document.

if_Plan=number ― if the country’s plan is this number set in $GrandStrategy. It defaults to 1.

CHINCHIN -> RE: Editor question (5/18/2021 7:04:11 PM)

The file "_events" I have modified it directly in the folder of the new scenario, but it does not seem to work. Do you have to load it with the editor? Where?

joey -> RE: Editor question (5/18/2021 7:48:37 PM)

You have to upload the updated "events" file by going to "file/quit" and pressing "Load All Scripts".

CHINCHIN -> RE: Editor question (5/18/2021 8:13:36 PM)

Ok, thanks Joey!

It gives me an error, I will have to check it.

AlvaroSousa -> RE: Editor question (5/18/2021 10:24:29 PM)

Check the logs to find out what the error is.
C:\Users\"your user ID"\AppData\LocalLow\Kraken Studios\WarPlan\player.log

CHINCHIN -> RE: Editor question (5/19/2021 7:32:27 AM)

I opened the file output_log.txt, which indicates the manual, but did not understand anything.
Anyway thanks to your warning I went straight to remove the "Flag" functions, and this was the problem.

Thanks.
