I know night moves can only be done by surface fleets. Should I be able to perform a night move if I select a couple of Battle Groups, Cruiser Groups and Destroyer Groups in a port that contain Carrier Groups but the carriers are not selected? I don't seem to be able to.

Any help appreciated.

I think you should be able. But you must not move more than 6 hexes.

I don't even get the night symbol that appears when you have the potential for a night move. If I am in a port with no carriers than I get this symbol and can do a night move. Hope this makes sense!

Maybe it's a bug. According to the manual there should be no problem as long as your TF has no carriers in it.

It seems like a bug. Thanks. You should be able to select them. I'm probably checking the port and not the selected naval units for night mission.
