tm1 -> Trucks (6/10/2021 11:58:38 PM)

I have not read the manual cover to cover and what I have read I usually reread so as to make certain I get the picture.

I just had a look through the book about trucks on the various subjects on them.

In WITE1 you had your truck pool at the top right hand corner which told you your truck figures and you also got to see the Oppositions ( A I ) truck figures during its phase.

There was also a colour system that told you if good, reasonable, bad or very bad, likewise you could see your opponents.

In the original game if you captured X amount of units with large amounts of trucks continuously you had the ability to virtually destroy his unit movement capabilities to the point his units were almost immobile.

You could see this in his truck pool system by the colours green , yellow and red.

I don't see anything like this in the new game or is this system not in it.

the impacts are similar but its like the rail cap system, its more localised. Also the relationship of trucks to supply is very different due to the depot system. So its in part the usual response, WiTE1 is at best an imperfect guide to how things work.

you get the at start summary report, that'll give you a good overview of your position

you don't see your opponents truck pool but you can find how many they have lost.

units can get badly hit for both CV and MP due to an absolute truck shortage or if they need to use too many of their in-unit trucks to gain freight.

My personal view is a view new metrics screens on trucks would be incrediby handy as the information is a bit scattered (the logistics report contains some key stuff)

I second this a lot.

I would love to have a metric screen for vehicles/trucks. I keep having to load previous turns to look at the change in vehicle situation. Might even consider putting together a spreadsheet myself to keep track of it. The logistics report doesn't tell you much about how many vehicles you lost and gained on a turn by turn basis. Is adding a vehicle metric screen plausible from programming perspective?
