Turn 6 and I need more LB groups for the soviets. I don't have enough PE-2 and IL-4's so I want to fill up several SB-2 groups but no production of these planes. I have many AG in the reserve with SB-2 that are depleted or unused SB-2's. I was thinking of disbanding many SB-2 AG's to put the planes back in the pool. I'm worried I will not be able to have enough AG in the future if I disband a lot.
Note in the manual:
'New air units are automatically created for the Soviet player and placed in the
National Reserve to train. These will initially be equipped with any planes that are
available in the pools including those with low production rates.'
So...how are AG created and how many?

On the info tab is a reinforcement schedule. That will tell you what air groups and AOGs are created and when.

Note that on turn 6, the maximum size of your units is pretty large. On turn 7, that will decrease to 32 and then to 20 on turn 12. As this happens, excess aircraft in your units will be sent to the pools and then to units that are short these aircraft.

I see. So it's not a good idea to disband many AOG's on T6.
