Been watching a supurb set of ( made during the Cold War era ) documentaries recently where this one caught my eye. All about the capabilities of Britain's Air Defences during the 1980's which delves into how radar and Britain's Command & Control System for bomber & enemy aircraft identification & interception by RAF fighters developed after WW2. Covering such items as the RAF's ROTOR System of the 1950's and moving onwards to ground and airborne early warning systems and the Computers that were developed for the MOD, in the UK to improve the speed & accuracy of the RAF's Command & Control System for identifying and intercepting enemy aircraft approaching UK airspace including the identification friend or foe system. The Cold War documentaries in question are the BBC's Secret Society documentaries presented by War Plan UK author and journalist Duncan Campbell. I wonder whether the revelations exposed by the Secret Society episode called 'A Gap in our Defences' produced in 1987 are factored into the CMO AI for those of us running Cold War era 1980's or earlier decades scenarios ?
