wobbleguts -> Stupid question (6/22/2021 1:56:16 PM)

Hi,

I was playing as the USA and reached a point where I realised I had f****d up big time. So I decided to restart the game.

Firstly, a tip for all new players - if you edit the scripts before a game make sure you save the game as soon as possible so you don't have to edit them again (if you decide to restart). Editing the scripts is a real pain.

I didn't do that this time and had to edit them all over again. Anyways, as I was going through all the scripts I realised I didn't understand what some of them mean. eg, Dummy Events. Example -

DE381 - USA: Dummy Event re China supplies via the hump. AI - 100% yes.

What exactly is a dummy event? Can someone define it?

A dummy event is one that is just scripted to fire under certain conditions, i.e. there is no decision actually presented to players that they can say yes or no to.

This is a very useful way of having the circumstances trigger all kinds of other events.
