Evoken -> Is it possible to change neutral nations side ? (6/25/2021 5:16:22 AM)

Hello all , i had 2 scenario ideas where Turkey joins the war on Allied/Axis Side. Is it possible to change the neutrality and possibly to unlock Greece/Bulgaria front ?

Thank you for your time.

Yes, you can right click on the region to add it to the map.

Then use the ~ key to change turkey to axis/Soviet control.

The AI seems to have a tough time with turkey thigh. I've tried it.

I have found an issue comes with ground units, you can add Turkish devices, aircraft, ground elements, TOEs, locations AGs and AOGs (all bar the latter two would be in generic data) but under units you cannot select any neutral countries (America 38 seems to be the highest the nation list goes to, in WITW you could see all the neutral countries)

Also AOGs spare slots are very limited at the moment.

Further to my last having a quick look at the unit counters not on the map I have seen:

Bulgaria and Finland display fine and you can assign them to the axis player

Belgium through to Morocco display fine but cannot be assigned to either player

Axis Generic displays and can be assigned to the axis player

Denmark caused the game to crash whenever I tried to select it as the nation for a unit.

Vichy France does not display nor can be assigned to either player

America displayed opaque and cannot be assigned to either player

Also of note is that Yugoslavia, Commonwealth, Morocco and Axis Generic all seem to use the same German grey counter - this would make sense for the Axis Generic.

The screen shot shows a copy of a 41 German unit copied with each nationality bar Denmark set as per below.

Bulgaria, Finland, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, USA, Britain, Greece, Norway, Yugoslavia, Canada, India, Australia, Free French, Canada, WA Italy, Brazil, Commonwealth, France, New Zealand, Morocco, Axis Generic, Denmark, Vichy France and America.

I cant figure out how to bring the menu to change the neutrality ~ key didnt do anything for me. Is there a clickable button for that menu ? Thank you for your help!

I guess work around would be to add Turkish units under other Axis or Allied nations , maybe devs will add the posibility in future

I use a UK Keyboard and the key is to the left of the number 1 (¬ symbol)

I was unable to edit a scenario map but on the generic map I could change hex control

you can do it by line or square - In the below the blue is now all axis and the rest still neutral. Hope that helps.

Thank you. I tried every single key on the keyboard on its own and with a combination of shift, ctrl or alt, except that one.

With version 1.00.11 I am able to use the scenario editor to edit the map now, changing which hexes are included in the scenario, either by individual hex or by region. This seems to work OK.

For info, for anyone else stuck with changing the hexes that are included, use the key above and then with the SCN option, all of the hexes which are excluded from the map are coloured red. There's nothing in the interface to tell you how to change this. But it's easy - select a hex and then right-click on that hex and it will change colour. As well as individual hexes you can exclude whole regions, so that is the best place to start once you have selected the overall area NW/SE hexes, then exclude certain regions (do that from the standard map interface, not from SCN). Then change some individual hexes as above.

For example the Road to Minsk has an overall map square that covers Lithuania. Lithuania is then excluded as a whole region, then certain hexes within Lithuania (Vilnius and some others along the border between Lithuania and Byelorussia) have been changed back to include them, so that the approach to Vilnius is included as this was within the area covered by 9th Army/3rd Panzer Group.
