Turn 16. Mar/Apr 1942. CBI. Axis #11. Arabian Sea. 1. To the extreme frustration of the (Western) Allied players this happened on the last impulse of the turn. 2. If the turn had continued, with both Japanese ships flipped, then the allies could have replaced the lost CPs, which had negative implications for both supply the allied forces in the East Med and North Africa and to shipment of lent RPs to the USSR. 3. Allied frustration was also compounded by the successful intercept in the East Med of ships trying to reach and defend these CPs in earlier allied impulse. 4. Also, USN carriers and cruisers apparently looking to get to the Pacific through the Med had to "turn around" during the RTB phase because of the lack of supply to allied bases in the Red Sea (i.e., Aden).
