HansBolter -> What causes this and how do I fix it? (6/29/2021 11:32:22 AM)

Tutorial Scenario 2.

Before executing the air phase I zoomed out to show the entire operational area so that I might be able to see the air missions being executed.

As the air phase started the game automatically zoomed back in to max zoom centering the screen in a FIXED location looking at the German rear area. The display stayed fixed in this location and at that zoom level for the ENTIRETY of the air phase making it impossible to see where any of the air missions are taking place.

Why doesn't the game retain the zoom level I set?
Why doesn't the game recenter the screen on the location of the individual air mission executions?

How do I fix this excuse for a playable game?

ps: How do I slow down the execution of the air phase so I can actually comprehend what is happening? Currently, they execute so rapidly that the glimpses provided are BARELY above subliminal. I see nothing in the game settings to control this.

I have no interest in playing a game of lists. I want to be able to see the action as it is executed, not be relegated to reading lists to attempt to determine what took place.

First off the display change is on the list to be done after the more critical items are completed. I will caution, however, that this is also still in WitW so who knows.

Second, change the Air Execution detail level and it will slow down and give you more detail as to what is happening and where. I believe (but am not sure) that it will also jump the display to the proper area along with the additional detail.

and as previously advised, keep it polite. You can raise things you'd like to see in the game, you can misunderstand how to manipulate the UI to achieve what you want, but no need to be rude.

Thank you ever so much for the informative response.

I don't see anywhere in your response an answer to any one of my questions.

What I would LIKE is for the game to be playable.
Why is that such a difficult concept for you to grasp?

carlkay has answered both your questions. One is being worked on, the other is set out in the manual.

Like you I too want the game to be as accesible as possible
