StefanE -> Spotting prediction (9/1/2003 3:43:51 PM)

Hi

I just recently realised the importance of beeing hidden (yes, I am a newbie) and now I'm trying to understand how to predict if I am going to be seen at different hexes. I have already (painfully) learned that beeing in the woods isn't a sure method of staying hidden since it seems to me that LOS 'penetrates' at least into the second wood-hex(?). Is there any good thumb-rules for prediction of LOS?

I have also big problems to se any 'hight-lines' (sorry, dont know the correct english term, I mean the kind of lines that are on maps to indicate the same level), maybe because of my monitor. Is there any option to get a more detailed map?

/StefanE

StefanE:
As far as height/altitude goes, just position your pointer on the hex your interested in and viola theres the altitude/height given, IF YOU HAVE THE "HEX INFO" ON in the preferences.

As for Scouts I set my range for scouts to "0" (Y, 0, enter)and move one hex at a time trying to remain in cover (and still I get nailed) and right click on adjacent hexes, at the end of movement(s) (Makes scouts look around) just in case. Scouts are not long lifed in SPWAW from my point of view.

By the way WELCOME TO THE FORUM. Hope this Helps :) :D :cool:
