wobbleguts -> Advanced preferences menu suggestion (7/6/2021 1:20:39 PM)

Hi,

I've put on my asbestos suit/gloves and I am ready to be flamed.

Normally, when I start a game (against AI) I go to Options-Advanced-Prefences and do the following...

De-select production delay.
Select soft build limits.
Disable game end date.

I don't see this as cheating that much really - all sides get the same benefit.

Could an additional option be added here to remove build limits and the soft build penalty? I have done this using the editor but it takes a lot of time and is fiddly. If the option could be added under Options-Advanced-Prefences it would be a great time saver.

Hi Wobbleguts,

I see what you are after here, I can add it to my list of things to consider, unfortunately it wouldn't be a top priority item at the moment.

Hubert

Thanks Hubert,

To confirm, yes, i would like an option under Options-Advanced-Prefences when you start a game that will remove all build limit/penalties - allowing all sides to build whatever they want without restrictions (providing they have the MP's to do so).

ie, soft build, no delay, no build limit, no soft build penalty, or any other limitations based on historical fact. Allow the leaders to decide what to build.

To set this up, build limits is the big fiddly one. Using the editor, I can go to each country and set the soft build penalty to 0%, but build limits are set for every single unit type (and for every nation). Would it be possible to disable all build limits in the editor itself?

Thanks for looking into this suggestion.
