gw15 -> Resupply - Soviets (7/6/2021 5:07:57 PM)

I haven't noticed this before but when I drop supplies to units on an airfield the units become unready. Is that correct?
I'm running 1.012 beta

I'm not aware of any such beta 1.012, They're always x.yy. I'm on the current 1.01.00 and don't see the issue that you describe.

Sorry, 01.00.12Beta
Yes, it is happening but not all the time. I was wondering if that was programmed to be that way or is it a bug.

no, that has to be a bug so I'll move the thread - we may want saves to help pin it down

Do you have saves for this? Unready happens when your ready TOE drops below a certain level. For something to switch to unready, it would need to have had some of its ready combat elements become damaged or destroyed due. Can't think of why airdropping supplies to a unit would cause elements to become destroyed or unready. Best save would be one where if we do a specific drop we can see the TOE for a unit at the airbase drop. Thanks.

I noticed it on a Matrix server match. I'm not sure where to get the previous saves.

I moved several Ready Soviet units to an airbase and then dropped supplies and when I moved them to another location they were Unready. It happened 3 times but I did the same thing in the South and the unit did not become Unready.

I have a PBEM match also going and it never happened (didn't notice), same version.

I'm going to pay very close attention on my next turn.

When you move units, some of the elements can become unready. So it's very possible that you were moving Soviet units that were barely ready and that moving them caused some to become damaged and the unit to be become unready. That is my guess for what happened. Please do keep an eye on your future transport missions and see if anything about the TOE of the units changes at the moment of the airdrop. Thanks.
