Been playing this game for a long time and just noticed USSR Rocket artillery can bombard units at a 2 hex range.

Is this intentional as I can't find anything in any of the rules and/or options?

I had been thinking for a while the rocket artillery symbol was just the same as a normal motorised arty.

Never heard of that being the rule for them. Must be an undocumented feature.

Yeh, it only works if you assign it to an adjacent hex, cancel that one and reassign another hex at 2 range.

Did you try those steps with other artillery?

The bug is reproducible using artillery. Also after executing the artillery bombardment at 2 hex range the artillery is returned to the 1st plotted target hex and is stacked with enemy.
