Hi,

Missile Taurus KEPD 350 P #489 in DB3000 v489 is allways petered out because run out of enegy.

In the DB teh range of the missile is 270nm, but around half of this distance missile run out of energy and is self destructing.
If you launch it close to the target it works correctly.


Check please the scen where the in flight missile was run out of enegy on half of the theoretical range.

Prop. #922 1x F121-WR-115 Pref: 530 knots, burn rate at cruise 1.
Fuel. #897 - Capacity 1348 units
Using 1 capacity unit per second @ 530knots (.14722222222222....) nmi/sec should max fuel range of ~198.45nm

Confirmed it is using 1 unit per second. Confirmed expectation that it peters out at around 198nm.

A range of 270nm would require a capacity of at least ~1835 no?

*Additionally this will effect weapons #3828 and #3829 of similar name (both use same fuel and propulsion. and both have ranges exceeding 198, one has 215nm, the other 270nm, like weapon #489).

My guess is someone did the math based on ~720knts for some reason, instead of 530kts as it would produce the 1348|269nm range, or it was 720kts speed originally and then adjusted down with the capacity not increased. *shugs*idk. Guess another one for database update thread.
Till then just know these have a ~198nm range, hope that helps in the meantime.[:)]

The db error is specific to v489, where the stated range of the KEPD 350P (weapon #489) was changed from 180 nm in previous DB versions (for which the fuel is sufficient) to 270 nm. That is the range for the newly-added KEPD 350K (weapon #3828), but that weapon and the KEPD 350K-2 (weapon #3829) do have sufficient fuel to meet their stated ranges).

Yeah I had my filter set wrong when looking up 3828 and 3829 (which are #2143 fuel,and #2142 fuel respective which both have more than enough. 2020 and 1609 respective or put another way: 297nm,~237nm, guess they allow extra 10% for some dog-legging allowance)
