jjdenver -> LF game of non-39 scenarios (or fall weiss) vs low/med skill player - open to mirror game or allies (8/27/2021 1:36:37 AM)

Hi,

I took a challenge off the board of case blue 42 and the guy surrendered his axis side after about 10 turns or so but it piqued my interest in non-39 scenarios. My skill level is medium (at best!) and probably low-medium more realistically. I recently had a guy take up a game as Axis as a "medium" player and he cleaned my clock so fast it was crazy, France done by around end of May and took a port in England the next turn. That kind of slaughter can't be fun for either side. I want a game that can play into 44/45 before being fully decided.

Anyone interested in a game? I'm also interested in Fall Weiss or a regular 39 game but more interested in the later scenarios (41,42 I guess) since the start positions seem interesting and fun. I'm open to a mirror game.

Please do drop me email jj.denver@yahoo.com since the messaging system here is not great to use.

Thanks

There seems to be an increase in the number of players wanting a certain level of ability to play against. I understand this desire but I am not sure it's possible to accommodate it. For example, I am what I would call a medium-level player. I get defeated by most of the top players and got called out recently for admitting that fact but am able to provide a good competition nonetheless. And that's the problem - my 'good' is another's 'rubbish' and another's 'awesome'. For me to obtain even the medium-level skills I have involved many, many 'clock-cleanings' and learning from them. My first Barbarossa barely got to Kiev, let alone Moscow, Leningrad or Stalingrad. To me, those losses were opportunities to learn. And I'm still in Middle School (or whatever it's called where you live).

tl;dr: I am happy to accept a challenge from you.

I'd be interested to know how your opponent took France by May it usually holds off until June/July.

Its not a certainty but when you see your German opponent researching in 125 increments (250) early there is a good chance they are researching amphib and trying to get a Long Range Amhib to attack GB. You need units up the coast cities and especially in port cities. Also bring some of the French navy in that region because they are basically expendable, check ports with subs.

Enjoy the game
