My advice would be to arrange your games via the forum and just have a little chat with your opponent before you start, that usually saves both sides a lot of hassle. Bavre hit it out of the park here. I also now NEVER join public challenges. All the ones I got involved with turned out to be ghosters, immature rage quiters, or thin skinned unfriendly folks. It was like no...my time is too valuable to waste with any swinging dick that shows up and posts a challenge on server..... To find good opponents take patience to curate a list. Its informal..but once I started going 'public' here on the forums and off on PM's with folks..I started to know who was fun and serious about this hobby. Also..from other unrelated games and multiplayer matches...it taught me to be wary over at Steam also. Anyway...there's my 3 cents. [:)] Hello OldCrowBalthazor, Yes I see what you and others are saying, no doubt about it. I accept getting good and bad matches in MP open challenges as far as worthy or not goes, I also think back to my first time going MP, I was scared chitless, thinking do I really want to do this???? If it were not for an open challenge in the MP lobby, I probably would have never gone MP, that first match set the hook, I got un-mercilessly beat bad, got beat bad for the next several matches. But you know what? I felt alive..!! I'm going to play till I beat this thing, that first win was worth all the prior beatings.. It was then I knew I could compete with confidence and never looked back. By my doing open challenges I'm providing the opportunity for someone else to test the waters of MP, Just like the guy who gave me a chance the first time. Yes it get's frustrating getting the one turn done matches, but every once in awhile I get to see a champ coming of age and compete with others. I like to encourage members to go MP, not discourage them, talk to them, exchange ideas, the hey you did that wrong, try this, learn that. Well guess what? I'm the rookie here, you guys are my piers. At some point I may post a thread at the forum for opponents. Currently, I have a guy kicking my ass, I can tell he is no rookie, I'm a little troubled he does not chat (maybe later).
