ORIGINAL: BillRunacre The effect of declaring war on Switzerland is to reduce the National Morale as the public react against attacking an historically neutral power. Thanks, that explains it. The message was along the lines of 'Britain protests about this invasion' and the USA (etc) said the same thing. I thought it was the government(s) complaining. Does this mean that when I invade a country (which for political reasons I probably shouldn't) - and get these messages from foreign powers - it is just their publics opinion? ie, no shift in their government policy? Is it just a morale effect. Also, I'm not sure invading someone they shouldn't would actually reduce British morale. The Brits love invading people. Look at their history. If anything, their morale should have gone up. quote:
Poland is rather complicated and to reintroduce it into the game would require a lot of thought and various Decision Events, given the politics of what actually happened, and which you've rightly shown, wouldn't necessarily always have happened - which would complicate things further. It is something I've pondered at times, but in addition to its complexities, as it would likely occur very near the end of the game it isn't something that has made its way into the game. There are just always so many other things that have been of much higher priority. Agreed. Poland is tricky historically. I liberated it early to make it a free state but it didn't work. The game just turned it into 'allied territory'. Declaring war on the USSR at this point would have been my preferred option.
