Karri -> CSV import not working on generic data (10/1/2021 3:28:23 PM)

I know that the editor is in the works. But in any case, importing city data doesn't work at the moment. I tried to mass change all railyard via the CSV file, which they do if you go to the map. But nothing changes in location tab data. Going to map, back to menu and back to map crashed the editor.

railyards belong to the factory data file

Yes, but when it comes to CSV files it's stored in the _city.csv. There is no separate factory file. If you export the _city.csv generic data, modify the factory information, then import it, it does not affect any changes in the locations tab. Check attached screenshot after doing the above by changing Berlin railyard level to 99 in the CSV file and importing it.

factory data export to .csv is probably not implemented yet

If you export city.csv all the factory data is there. That's how it worked in WitE. In fact, I'm pretty sure I tried this with earlier versions and it used to work. Though I guess you're half right, in that the they changed the data structure completely and the editor cannot handle it currently.

Tested a couple of other CSV files, and these do update accordingly. Factory data does not, so I assume it's being transferred to a separate file which for now doesn't exist.

Alright, tested a bit more. If you change the factory data directly from the locations tab, and the save it, it is retained. However, it will not update to the map when looking at generic data. Updated for scenarios though.

Editor is a bit quirky with factory data as mouse-over and "Highlight Industry" does not read from factory file but old data from location(?) instead.
Leaving the map, what's shown in location tab is correct and transcluded to scenarios.

That almost made me mad when I was reworking aircraft and tank factories about a year ago. Make changes to facs in generic data, save, load another instance of the game with GC41 loaded to verify changes.

This incorrect displaying in the editor has been on our bug list for a while. I've increased the priority so it will get looked at during the current editor review/rework.

Joel, is the editor maintenance next on the list for fixing?
