Does the new patch address the following tactic or is this working as intended. 1-Send in battleships to resupply an invasion force out of supply on the beach of an island. 2-Battleships bombard, supporting the land attack (since operation points are not needed for this action). 3-Send in "raider mode" CVs to change the taskforce status from "Fleet" to "Raider" to avoid hit and run attacks from an enemy CV force. The CVs will not lose effectiveness from bombardment since they did not bombard. Which seems correct to me. But it sounds like they will lose effectiveness while remaining at sea. Which in turn will make their defense weaker against hit and run attacks. I agree with this too. However the ability to switch between "Fleet" and "Raider" will eliminate the threat of a forced interdiction which bothers me as the fleet is clearly spotted. Is the ability to change fleet status after a move working as intended? It seems a bit gamey to me but I do this to stop the forcing of an unrealistic attack from a weak surface fleet. I can easily handle with a house rule as I play hotseat but I would like to know others opinion on this.
