Gary Grigsby's War in the East 2 will be available on Steam on December 9th

Starting in 1941, the game covers one of the most brutal conflicts in human history. This bitter fight to the end between the Third Reich and the Soviet Union is lovingly modeled and detailed from the highest strategic overview to the smallest logistical decision. GGWitE2 is a complete overhaul of the first game.

It is richer, more historical, more encompassing, and is the most accurate representation of this conflict ever conceived.

The game comes with an exceptional tutorial and 520-page comprehensive manual, to help new players understand the depth and complexity that underpins how real war is fought and won.

The A.I. has also been improved, so veterans of the first game will also relish new challenges in an expansive campaign that covers everything from Barbarossa to the fall of Berlin.

I would agree if you offered a refund. But you guys have a no refund - no exception policy regarding games directly purchased from Matrix.

That is not the case via Steam.

Steam has not yet completed their approval process, so we're waiting to see if the release will still happen today or have to be delayed a day or two.

Unfortunately Steam has not completed the approval process, so at this point the release won't happen today. We're going to try again tomorrow!

But at least you are able to activate it on Steam with the code available on https://www.matrixgames.com/member/mypage
You just can't download it yet

No approval yet. We've sent in a support ticket as Steam is well past their requested timeline for release approval. We've released many, many games on Steam and we know the process. This is the first time this has happened - we're doing what we can to get it sorted out.

Hi folks, we're still here watching to see if the status changes today. If the approval comes through any time now as we're hoping, we'll go ahead and do a Friday release (which we normally don't do) just to get it out before the weekend. If it's not approved today, our next chance will be Monday and you can be assured we'll be doing our best to get this resolved by then.
