bladesinger79 -> I LOST ALL OF MY SCENARIOS! (11/2/2021 8:23:28 PM)

This afternoon, each and everyone one of my downloaded scenarios were gone. All I had were the preset standalones and tutorials. I did NOT erase anything. I did not tamper with the game files. They are just all gone and don't know how.

Has this happened to anyone else?

What do I do?

No panick. You can re-download everything.
Did they disappear just from CMO load menu or are they physically gone from the scenario folder in Windows file explorer too ?

Did you recently update or reinstall?

Do you mean the CSP scenarios from Steam? Those are missing because I removed all of the individual scenarios from Steam and replaced them with a single entity download that will download all 550 of them, and download new ones automatically with future CSP updates.

New link for the Steam CSP is here: Community Scenario Pack

There is no trace of the CSP scenarios in my program files at all. I believe a recent update may have caused it. Damn. I was underway on Northern Fury #5. I do not recall downloading them from Steam but from this site.

Are you sure you updated to the right directory. But first, is it a Steam install?

kevinkins -> RE: I LOST ALL OF MY SCENARIOS! (11/3/2021 9:39:50 AM)

My Steam install is fine with all files intact. Maybe try a search on *.scen to see where the files went. Or just do a file search for "Northern Fury". You will find them and a least you didn't lose all your marbles.

UPDATE: Looks like reloading everything fixed the problem. Dunno how, but seems like all's well. Glad I didn't have to draw up brand new scenarios.

Wait a minute...[8D]

@Kushan04, thanks for the link. I've navigated there for my Steam CMO install. How, in the name of all that's holy, do I download the pack???

I can thumb up it, I can subscribe, I can get more information, but even though I'm logged in to my Steam account and am on the page, I don't see a link to download and/or install it.

Yeah, color me newb.

Thanks,
Ken

There's two versions of the CSP: that Standalone version and the Steam version. Functional they are the same. To download the Steam version just hit the subscribe button. That's all you'll ever need to do. Steam will download and update the CSP automatically.

To download the standalone version you need to see THIS thread in the Mods and Scenarios sub-forum. If you get this version you will need to need to download future CSP versions yourself.

Just a tip from past experience if you use the community scenario file and install yourself; delete the community folder before you copy the new scenarios over. I had a few issues when I didn't do that.

Outstanding! Thanks. I now have a new tab in my "Start New Game" option -> "Load Scenario". In addition to "Scenarios" and "Saved games", I now have "Steam Workshop" which is filled with an amazing assortment of battles.

Thanks for the assist.

Ken
