Malevolence -> RE: Congratulations on CSR Award (11/11/2021 7:41:19 PM)

I think the Charles S. Roberts awards are most well known in the historical tabletop, hex and counter, wargame community. Matrix Games' roots go back through David Heath. He worked for Mark Herman at Victory Games in his early years and has continued to publish games, to include many from his current business, Lock ‘n Load Publishing. He is close to Joel Billings, of SSI fame, who I think also works with Matrix titles (Grigsby). The remaining personal connections via Matrix (e.g. Erik, etc.) continue to facilitate notice by the tabletop community. Matrix publishes many games that look and feel like digital recreations of hex and counter wargames. You can see those connections in Shadow Empire's design and presentation.
