Is there a setting to use that allows aircraft that have completed their mission that follows the path they have taken on the way in?
The reason for this is, in a heavily defended area, if you either find a passage through the defences or you are able to create a safe corridor by destroying parts of the air defences it would be wise to withdraw the same way, rather than a straight line through the thick of the defences. If there is a tick box somewhere that says "Return by Same Route" it would be good to know where it is.

Not that I'm aware of it, although IIRC autogenerated strike mission flight plans will have egress waypoints that you can manipulate as required. If not using the strike missions, the best course of action (no pun intended) is to disable auto-RTB on weapon state and manually plot the strike aircraft's course (or assign it to a support mission with the desired waypoints and flight profile) and manually order it to RTB once it is safe to do so.

Hi Stww2, I was hoping to cut out the manual bit, things get pretty busy in some scenarios as im sure you are aware.
