MSAG -> Soviet Guard Corps from 3 Infantry Brigades (11/22/2021 5:26:13 AM)

Server H2H, Soviets. February 42.

Have limited number of Guard Divisions, so wanted to make one from 2 Guard Rifle Brigades + 1 Rifle Brigade.
To my surprise I created ... Guard Rifle Corps.

Am worried slightly as it is the server game and the corps consists of 1RD, 0GRD and 0GRD.

What happens if you split it again ?

Do not have the save I am afraid. It was the server game against AlberN. Turn 35 or 36 dated Nov 22. Units in Saratov.

After the split the "0" GRDs were renamed to next free numbers.

It is possible to create 2 guards rifle corps staring in late 1941. The fact that you can use 3 brigades to create a corps may be an undocumented feature, or could be a bug. At one time we allowed some number of divisions and brigades, but I think for rifle corps we intended to move to just divisions only. Will need to check with Pavel to see if this is bug or WAD.

Lightest corps build should be 2 divs +1 Bde but not entirely of Bdes. the invalid RD names/numbers speak for itself
