ORIGINAL: btd64 Yup. Look in the intelligence reports....GP I am not sure it cross references into the intelligence report, but is rather a bit of flavor as I understand it. Having said that, I frequently use subs and planes as listening posts, since it seems to me they might help with the overall intelligence -- definitely with sightings/dls, etc. The Ops report also contains reports of detections - I forget the wording. I vaguely recall Alfred or one of the Developers stating that aircraft with air radars can get their detections by passive means (detecting the enemy signals) as opposed to active radars. And Allied radios did have some ability to detect direction of transmissions - by rotating that circular antenna often seen on the top of the fuselage, I guess. I don't know how it is modeled, but in the real world an aircraft at higher altitude can detect transmissions further away. Could be a reason to send PBYs on high search once in a while.
