I'm experimenting with the enhanced theater box rules and I'd like to move some air units around in the non-reserve boxes. I figured out how to get ground units to and from the reserve boxes, but the only transfer option I can see for air units is to and from the reserve and map. Am I missing something? Is air unit movement entirely scripted? I looked through the manual and didn't see anything, can anyone point me to a rules reference on this?

If you do not meet the garrison requirements, you cannot move the units out, to include AC.

So, if the AC units have an orange or pinkish title bar, then you cannot xfer them out yet.

Additionally, there is a 1 turn wait period for recently arriving AC units.

So I mean like mechanically, how do you give a command to an air unit to go to a theater box. I have a shortage of air in the Far East theater box, and I want to transfer some of my squadrons (the ones equipped with the crappy old I class fighters) to the Far East. I can't figure out how to give them the command.

Right click on the air unit inside the theater box.

It’s not a convenient UI, and I’ve asked for an improvement to this mechanic before.

I really do not have an opinion one way or another on this specific mechanism. I have just grown used to doing it this way.

Right-clicking is a common way to invoke a context menu, which seems to be how they implemented it.
