racndoc -> UK Seaplane Carriers on 9/19/14 turn (12/20/2021 12:43:50 AM)

In multiplayer, is it worth it to build the seaplane carrier conversions on the 9/19/14 turn?

OCB is one of the best Entente players and he does just that:

They are essential for the United Kingdom, which seriously lacks observation capacity at sea at the start of the war due to a lack of submarines.

They are very helpful for Germany too for scouting in the Baltic while their sub fleet is away attacking the Atlantic supply lines to the U.K.

I have never felt I could afford the MPPs to pay for the Russian seaplane carriers in the Black Sea - I would be interested to know if other players have made that investment?

I do for the Black Sea fleet absolutely. I base it in Kars and can recon Trabazon and the Ottoman littoral and interior. I might not if a Russia First is pulled on me...but even then I have bought it to tell you the truth.
In my current match with Tanaka...it has help augment General Yudenich's operations in NE Anatolia. Combined the CVL with an airship and that heavy bomber...and you got eyes on things that would be invisible otherwise. The Goeben for one is very dangerous. I like to know where she is as much as possible. [:D]

Calvary is very dangerous to the Goeben! [sm=00000003.gif]
