I think that fighter sweeps hovering over enemy bases are way to effective inflicting kills on landing aircrafts.

I just score 31 kills with a fighter sweep with II/JG 53 over Tangmere, picking off Hurricanes and Spitfires without any losses. Ok I liked it because I'm playing axis :-) But this is unrealistic, 5 or 6 kills ok, but then the rest woould have been aware of the danger and taked evasive action

The next patch reduces air-air combat effectiveness a bit. Casualties for airbase FS have softened a few versions back so I'd like to hear more about how often you see these types of successes and if it is a viable strategy to victory.

The 31 kills are my all time high BoB-record, but I have had other good results when timing FS to airbases with returning RAF-fighters, 19 and 14 kills etc. However the RAF at least seems to lose less pilot by those landing kills than in normal dogfights.

I have not played much of BTR with v1.06.47 (because of the strange results when attacking unescorted 4E-bombers) so I can't tell if it's the same thing there.

But if fine tuned in BoB this tactics could be a game changer, or at least force the Fighter Command to permanently relocate north of London.
