JohnWise -> Will the DB viewer be adversely affected by IE going in June 2022 ? (12/28/2021 2:14:58 PM)

Looking at previous emails concerning the problems I had with the CMO & CMANO database viewer pics back in 2020, I wonder whether the DB viewer in CMO ( & for those of us who still like to retain CMANO ) will in anyway be adversely affected by Mircosoft withdrawing Internet Explorer on 15th June 2022, with no doubt many new PC's and Laptops shipped without Internet Exporer included or downloadable anymore from Microsoft. Here's the email I had from Support about the Database viewer needing Internet Explorers - Internet Options - Advanced - Multimedia - Show Pictures to be ticked in order for the Database Viewer to show photos in CMO & CMANO. On Fri, 8 May 2020, at 1:00 PM, Slitherine Support wrote: Hi , Thank you for contacting us. I've asked the developer to comment your report. He said the following: "My only guess, and that's a really long shot: For the thumbnail mode we use WPF rendering, whereas the DB viewer is an essentially an encapsulated web browser control, using the built-in IE engine. Maybe there is an incorrect setting in his Internet Explorer installation?" So my suggestion is to reset your Internet Explorer settings. Kind Regards, Paulo Costa The Slitherine Group
