Teo41_ITA -> Interrupting the re-naming unit chain (12/29/2021 8:41:51 PM)

Hi everyone!

Once again, I come up with a dumb question.

I managed to recreate the evolutionary history of the Soviet 9th Tank division, as shown here below. In the editor, I did use the "Use to rename:" function. But what if, let's say, the 104th Tank division gets totally destroyed (ie., in a pocket)? Does the 145th Tank brigade still form? Or will the loss of a unit break this chain of events?

Thanks!

I would be interested in knowing the answer to this also.

Alright folks, I did some experiments using the RtL scenario with some custom modification.

Conclusion: whenever an intermediate unit (i.e.: the 145th tank brigade, from the figure in the first post) surrenders, the chain gets broken. Ideally, knowing which units will evolve into something else, should be a further incentive for the Soviet player to keep those units alive for as long as possible! [:)]
