Unit Destroyed but Doesn't Show It (Full Version)

Soviet unit, isolated by German forces is attacked three times, but shown on the last battle as holding.

However it's not present on the map and the losses screen show it has been destroyed. How can I determine what happened to the unit?

Do you know what unit it was? If it was destroyed, it would be listed on the last tab of the losses screen. It's possible that it survived the battle, but then later was depleted and was destroyed outside of the combat. If it all happened during your turn, I would have thought this would not have happened and that it would have been destroyed in combat. If you have a save before and/or after the attack and attach them I can take a look.

It is displayed on the Losses screen, just trying to understand the circumstances.

That's an after the fact save. I can only assume that what happened was that the Germans were stopped (halt result) but after the losses were applied and the battle was concluded, the unit became depleted and/or routed, leading to it's destruction. Since this happened after the hold was decided, it didn't list the unit surrendering. It looks like it might have happened in the logistics phase, as there are 3400 men listed as captured during the logistics phase, so due to the lack of supply the unit probably had some more element go damaged causing it to deplete and be destroyed.
