"Incorrect content type" error launching Multiplayer

I'm getting an error launching the Multiplayer server. I click on Multiplayer, it runs through "initializing" three times and then comes up with an error message that is up too briefly for me to get all of it, but it begins with "incorrect content type". I was playing on Steam using 1.02.13, tried with my beta version and it got in OK. Worked fine on Steam a couple of hours ago.
