jlbhung -> Cavalry Division/Brigade? (1/2/2022 1:55:50 PM)

Currently, the game follows a unit's historical name. As a result, a SU Cav Div can have only 4,165 men (@100%ToE, with ToE(OB) - 41b Cavalry Division) while a Hun Cav Bde (with ToE(OB) - 41 Hun. Cavalry Brigade) has 11,632 men, three times the size of a SU Cav Div !! However, currently all cavalry divisions in the game are treated equally regardless of their actually size, and enjoys some advantages compared to a brigade - e.g. a Division flips more hexes than a Brigade, a Division may pay less Movement Points in certain situations compared to Brigade. In my view, the much smaller SU Cav Div does not deserve the advantages compared to the HU Cav Bde in the extreme example quoted in the previous para. I make a table summarizing the combat squads (counting cavalry, rifle, pioneer, flamethrower, ski and other similar squads) and AFVs (including armor cars) in different Cav Divisions and Brigades in the game. See the enclosed pic. From the table it can be seen that many Axis Cav Bdes are in fact more powerful than the smaller SU Cav Division. I propose that the game adopt a more consistent approach in classify Div/Bde for Cav units - say draw a line at 150 combat squads + AFVs. Those with less, i.e. SU Cavarly units highlighted in yellow and pink be reclassified from Div to Bde. Those with more, i.e. Axis units highlighted in green be reclassifed from Bde to Div. Alternatively, the line can be drawn at 120, so only those SU units highlighted in pink are reclassified to Bde, and those Axis units in yellow and green be re-classified as Div.
