Indirect fire in march mode

My question is two-fold: first, what is the impact if your unit is in march mode and receives indirect artillery fire (vs. had it been in combat mode)? Second, if your artillery is in march mode and you shoot the enemy with it, is it as effective as firing in combat mode?
