Maybe 1 out 10 times I come to the site or click on a thread, I get this error. I usually just close the browser and wait a minute or two and it works OK. Been like this for a few months.

Just happened again. I think I've gone to the forum 10-12 times since my last post. All of those were goo, until just now.

Why would this be the only website where I have to delete cookies? And why the issue only 10% of the time. I haven't had to delete cookies for a webite issue in five or six years.

blond_knight_new -> RE: Intermittent issues (1/15/2022 1:02:39 AM)

Yeah Ive been getting the same thing for months too. And if you try to run one of the game updaters, there's a %50 chance its going to bomb out. I think its a web server or load balancer issue on their side.

thewood1 -> RE: Intermittent issues (1/15/2022 3:31:27 AM)

Yeah its definitely on their side. And same issues with the updater. I guess no one cares. I expect the next recommendation will be to make sure its plugged in.

76mm -> RE: Intermittent issues (1/15/2022 4:58:52 AM)

This has been going on for years; actually I haven't had the problem in several months now, but before that I had to remove all of my cookies frequently. I was always surprised at how many cookies the Matrix site was putting on my computer--dozens. This is also the only site where I've ever had this problem, but it seems sporadic, because as I said, I haven't actually had the problem in awhile now.

thewood1 -> RE: Intermittent issues (1/15/2022 10:05:50 AM)

I have a hard time believing its anything to do with cookies or caching. Over the years, I would frequently encounter periods where it took a very long time to bring up the site. Its only recently I just let it run to see what happens. It sure seems like the site is slowly falling apart.

ncc1701e -> RE: Intermittent issues (1/15/2022 12:02:17 PM)

This is the only web site I am having this issue. But hopefully the new one will solve it.

zakblood -> RE: Intermittent issues (1/15/2022 12:10:02 PM)

forum going to be moved and on a new data base asap, so not a issue for much longer and also not seen it myself more than once every 3 months or so if that often

thewood1 -> RE: Intermittent issues (1/15/2022 1:29:11 PM)

Even having it once every three months is more than it should be doing.

zakblood -> RE: Intermittent issues (1/15/2022 1:41:40 PM)

agreed, that's why there doing a new forum, so it doesn't happen at all, apart from local loop net issues etc, that's outside of there control

zgrssd -> RE: Intermittent issues (2/3/2022 1:17:33 PM)

I too am having this issue on and off again.

It is only this Webpage. All other webpages and internet useage work fine.

When it happens, it is all requests to the page.

When it happens, it is a short burst only. In fact, I usually hit F5 the second after getting the message and it works fine. It is realy just me having to wait for a timeout on the server side, before I can try again and it just always works.

mainsworthy -> RE: Intermittent issues (2/3/2022 2:46:23 PM)

Guys if we look on the positive side maybe This can happen when a web site is so popular not everyone can fit, so it means more wargamers buying more games, funding future releases and in turn increasing our enjoyment with new games

IainMcNeil -> RE: Intermittent issues (2/3/2022 3:28:07 PM)

This is a symptom of the old forum and it slowly gets worse and one reason we want to urgently upgrade to the new site. Remember to look at the new forum and give your feedback as its due to go live soon!
