Build 1147.39 Release Notes (changes from Build 1147.38)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* NEW FEATURE: Phased-array radars (PESA/AESA) suffer from gain degradation (hence effective range reduction) when attempting to detect targets far off the antenna boresight, both on the horizontal and vertical plane.
This schematic shows the coverage difference between a mechanical-scan set (APG-68(V)9) and two AESA radar options for the F-16: https://belisarius21.files.wordpress.com/2020/05/ce95ceb9ceba.-3.png . Note the severe drop on high off-boresight detection range on the two AESAs because of the gain reduction.
In addition to the changes in the radar code, the difference is also displayed on the map: https://i.imgur.com/lB5BXn6.png
(The "flower" coverage pattern on the ship is because of the individual SPY-1 faces, each of which is a PESA antenna)

* NEW FEATURE: Radar resolution cell. (See this page for background: https://www.radartutorial.eu/01.basics/The%20resolution%20cell.en.html ). If multiple units are located within the resolution cell, the radar will detect only one of them. This feature confers an extra advantage to higher-frequency radar systems, as they are better able to distinguish between closely-clustered targets.

* Includes all the scenarios of the Kashmir Fire campaign
* Includes various fixed/tweaked scenarios (Operation Brass Drum, Shifting Sands #13, The Silent Service #2, Red Tide #3 & #10)
* Includes new Tacview 3D models by KJohnston (A-12, EA-18G, Boeing ATS, SR-72, YF-23, S-300/400 TEL) and updated association sheets

* The integrity check on registered DB files has been improved.
* FIXED: It was possible to create multiple missions with the same name
* ADDED: #13784: GUI QoL 1.1 (Add New Mission)
* ADDED: #13787: GUI QoL 1.2 (Mission Editor)
* FIXED: #14202: Curse you ASAT operators! DLZ issues persist
* TWEAK: Placing mobile facility in a difficult terrain shows a warning
* FIXED: #14472: Can't adjust columns in pop-up boxes
* FIXED: Vertical boresight issue with unpowered EO-guided bombs (fixes strike tutorial issue with KAB bombs)
* FIXED: Contact age-time discrepancy

What is Sea Control mission?

Page 129 in the manual...

"SEA CONTROL PATROL: Unit assigned to this mission
with actively search and investigate/identify naval surface
and undersea contacts"

Just to make it official.

Most Excellent, especially the new Radar features. The Resolution Cell modeling will certainly be a welcome challenge for Defensive fighter vectoring as well as fleet scouting, I love it!

Will install later today when I get home from work.

Thank you for your updates.

I've just a little remark. I can't find the facility "Mobile FARP -- Generic (Generic), Helicopter Only, Medium Aircraft" in the Database 492 (DB3000). It was announced as a new entry in the changelog for Build 1147.38.

Blast33 -> RE: CMO v1.04 Update - Build 1147.39 (1/15/2022 9:00:11 AM)

Nice one with the radars, thanks for the effort.

I think that was for CWDB.

deagu -> RE: CMO v1.04 Update - Build 1147.39 (1/16/2022 8:17:13 PM)

Thanks. You are right. I think it was mistakenly listed under DB3000 in the Changelog post.
