What is the use of the utilities in "CSlint" directory?.

Tools/CSlint is a suite of programs and (Perl) scripts for managing game data, QA'ing that data, etc. Among other things, you can use csmklua.pl to auto-generate starter Lua scripts, and csluachk.pl to QA your Lua Scripts.

You are welcome to try out the CSlint utilities. But in order to do so, you will need to have installed either/both of

  • WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux), a standard, built-in Windows component. Together with a suitable Linux distro, because CSlint runs entirely on Linux.
  • Cygwin, a Linux-like operating environment tailored to Windows. (My preference.)

    Here too, information about how to set this up will also be offered at a later date.
