Gunner98 -> Playthrough (1/25/2022 7:07:41 PM)

Not surprisingly this one is getting a bit of a resurgence of interest.

The Serious Strategy Gamer on YouTube has done a playthrough which is pretty good. There are 5 videos and the first one is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9TRMePtzng

It seems there are several bugs Gunner. If you watch his video #9, you can see that several Russian submarines suddenly surfaced and were detected and thus are easy targets. Also, the bombers who launched cruise missiles (I presume) continued their flight even after launching the missiles.

This happened also with my playthrough recently.

Thank you alphali

I'll watch the remainder of his videos and then take a good look.

Curious to see how his well planned out mass strike goes. I thought the most efficient way was to hit the Crimea with the F-22 SDBs en-mass backed up by every HARM in the inventory. That would make the heavy strike a little less hectic and may even allow the F-15Es with the heavy penetrators' in as a follow up. Having everything go in at once will be quite a show.

Good fun to watch.

Yes, I did suggest to him early on to use the SDB's and Harm's but I don't know (as I haven't tried it yet myself) if they will be enough on their own without the cruise missiles from the Med or the B2/B52 bombers.

just watched #11. There is a much better way of controlling your TLAM courses by using the plot function in the targeting window.

He's going to need his SDB & HARM waves to arrive before that wall of TLAMs or they will be eaten alive by the SAMs
